ViewSonic is now showcasing its new VCD22 Smart Display at the Computex 2012 Expo which runs from June 5 to 9. The display comes equipped with a 22-inch Full HD Display with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution, multitouch support and a 5ms response time. The monitor is powered by the Google Android OS, the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 version.

The VCD22 is powered by the TI OMAP 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB storage. According to the maker, it was designed for instant access to cloud hosted applications and virtualized Windows or Linux environments. It might trick you into believing that it is an AIO desktop, it has a 1.2-Megapixel camera integrated in the front, it offers support for Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity.

Other specifications includes an Ethernet LAN port, three USB ports, an HDMI input port and a microSD card slot. The monitor has all the options for you to add a keyboard and mouse to transform it into a computer. The VCD22 Android Smart Display also sports SRS surround sound speakers and will be available soon for the starting price of $479.
