Virgin Mobile USA has a new entry-level smartphone to their customers, the Kyocera Event Smartphone. The entry-level Android Smartphone is aimed at customers who are seeking an affordable phone without service contract. It features a 3.5-inch HVGA IPS touchscreen display, it comes with a MagniFont mode that provides a large font that is easy to read, and Swype text input for typing faster without lifting a finger.
Even though its considered an entry-level smartphone, the Event is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon Processor with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage plus a microSD card slot that will support cards up to 32GB. There’s a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED Flash and capable of recording videos.
Virgin Mobile USA will be selling the handset for the price of $79.99. The pre-paid carrier will be selling the phone in Black, the red version of the handset will be available exclusive for RadioShack.
