Virgin Mobile’s Samsung Intercept gets Android 2.2
Virgin Mobile customers using the Samsung Intercept is finally getting the much anticipated Android 2.2 Update, it been a while since consumers has been expecting the update as subscribers on the Sprint networking using the same Smartphone received their update back in December. The Intercept is one of the most affordable Android Smartphone on the market, Virgin started offering the handset in mid-October of 2010, it comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-Megapixel camera with video recording, full integration of Google Apps, such as Google Maps, Google Talk, Gmail, Youtube and Google Navigation. Virgin also added their Mobile Live app which is used to access Virgin Mobile’s branded music stream plus there is also access to the Android Marketplace with more than 80,000 applications currently available.

Users are presently receiving the a notifications to alert when the update has arrived and ready to be installed, it can also be done OTA.
