After the Wacom Bamboo Pen Tablet, the company is unveiling another device, the Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display which is targeted at professional photographers, designers, artists and animators. It is a 21.3-inch color-accurate LCD display which offers a 1600×900 resolution pixel resolution and 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity.
The Cintiq 21UX comes with a stand that allows the display to be reclined at any angle between 10 degrees and 65 degrees to match the users ideal working posture and rotated up to 80 degrees. It features Tip Sensor technology, offering users near-zero (one gram) starting pressure; two user-defined, four-function Touch Strip Toggle buttons which control the function of their associated Touch Strip, located on the back of the bezel; and eight customizable, application-specific ExpressKey located on each side of the display’s bezel. The device also comes pre-loaded with a few softwares including Coreal Painter Sketch PAd, Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 WE6 and Wacom Brushes 3.0 software.
The Wacom Cintiq 21UX is scheduled for release in late March or early April and the price is $1999.
