Wacom announced its new Intuos5 pen tablets which are targeted at professional photographers, designers and artists. The Intuos5 pen tablets will be available in three sizes; there’s the Intuos5 touch Small (PTH-450) with 157x98mm active area; touch Medium (PTH-650) with 224x140mm active area and the touch Large (PTH-850) with 325 x 203 mm active area for pen and 294x190mm for multitouch.
The tablets features an ergonomic, ambidextrous design with a soft-touch finish, they feature multitouch, supporting gestures to zoom, scroll, pan and the rotating of content. They all comes with customizable ExpressKeys and one Touch Ring with four-function toggle, which were all designed to help users streamline their workflow and be more productive.
The pen tablets ships with the Intuos5 Grip Pen that registers 2048 levels of pen pressure and up to 60 degrees of pen tilt, allowing the pen to deliver the same feel, response and effects from working with tools such as paint brushes, markers and pens. The tablets are priced at $229.95, $349.95 and $469.95 respectively. Wacom will also release Small and Medium models without multitouch support.
