Xiaomi recently announced the launch of its new Mi TV 2, an 49-inch 4K television set powered by Android and comes with a price tag of only $640.
The Mi TV 2 will bring the 4K television era even earlier to many mid-level income homes because of the affordable pricing, sad news it will only be available in China. The 4K capable device features a 6.2mm aluminum bezel, and is just 15.5mm thin.
The device is so thin that the manufacturer had to put the sound system outside of the TV. Deep inside you’ll find a 1.45GHz quad-core MediaTek MStar 6A918 processor with 2GB of RAM, and even an Mali-450 MP4 Graphics processing unit.
The 4K TV also gets 8GB of onboard storage capacity and even has a microSD card slot capable of supporting up to 64GB. Consumers in China can pre-order the Mi TV 2 starting on May 27th, and hopefully the company will announce an international version.
