Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has announced its new Mi Note Smartphone which comes with some really impressive specifications for only $370. So far the company has a reputation for launching impressive devices with very low prices, most going for under $200. The company has identified Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus as the competition and with a retail price less than $400, it’s definitely a bargin.
The Mi Note features a slim form factor measuring only 6.95mm, and weighs in at a mere 161g. The device comes fitted with a large 5.7-inch display with a 1080p resolution and a pixel density of 386ppi, which is really good for phone with this price tag. The display also sports a broad color gamut, improved outdoor usability, and reduced power consumption as well.
It’s powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM, it also comes with a 3000mAh battery that should provide plenty of juice to get you through the day. The Xi Note will come in either an 16GB version will retail for $370, or an upgrade to 64GB for an addition $80.
If that still doesn’t meet your requirements, Xiaomi is also offering a premium model dubbed the Note Pro which swaps out the Snapdragon 801 CPU for a 64-bit octa-core 810 processor, with a whopping 4GB of RAM and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixel screen at $530 per unit, which is still half the price you would pay for an unlocked iPhone 6 Plus.
