Two days ago the Xiaomi Phone 2 made its official debut just as rumors stated it would a few weeks back.
The new Xiaomi MI-TWO Android Smartphone was officially announced in Beijing and it is expected to be released in October on Chinese carriers such as China Unicom and China Telecom.
Specifications-wise, the Xiaomi MI-TWO will feature a 4.3-inch IPS display with a 720p HD resolution, it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad-core chip with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity. The handset will also feature a 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 27mm f/2.0 lens and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with a 28mm lens.
The Xiaomi Phone 2 will come with 5GB of free online cloud storage, it gets a 2,000mAh battery although it can also be upgraded to 3,000mAh which will cause the device to get an added thickness of 2mm. The phone runs the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and will retail for 1,999 Yuan (~$313) once it hits the Chinese market.
