Chinese Technology company, Xiaomi has kept its roots in its homeland for years, but it appears that 2015 will be the year that the company makes its first tentative steps into other markets, including the United States. Since inception, the company has kept its business in the Asian market, and has been doing rather well.
Xiaomi’s Hugo Barra, revealed that the company’s first presence in the United States is imminent, which is an online store. The company plans to open its US-based online store on its Mi.com portal, the sad news is that none of the company’s Smartphones will be available for purchase initially. The company plans to start off its present on the U.S. market by offering its Mi Band Fitness tracker and other accessories.
The company is yet to state when it would kick off the sales of its smartphones in the U.S., but it might take Xiaomi sometime to start offering its handsets on the market, since the brand remains unknown in the U.S market, and they would be starting off from scratch with promoting the brand.
