Xiaomi has announced another budget-friendly smartphone dubbed the Redmi Note 2 which is destined for China. The Redmi Note 2 is the follow up to the Redmi 2 which was only released about a month ago. The Redmi 2 came with a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM, Adreno 306 GPU and 8GB of internal storage.
The updated Redmi Note 2 on the other hand, comes equipped with same display, same processor but gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The specifications are almost the same as the first version of the handset, however consumers can expect to pay more for the updated handset.
Other specifications includes an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, WiFi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It comes with a 2200mAh battery, dual-SIM capabilities and the Redmi Note 2 also supports 4G LTE networks in China.
