Yota has announced its ground breaking smartphone dubbed the Yotaphone 2 which comes fitted with dual-screens, an main AMOLED display and an ePaper as well.
The Yotaphone 2 is expected to be first released in parts of Europe and Asia as well as the United Arab Emirates, however the company doesn’t seem to have any plans to release the device in the United States.
The device comes with a main 5-inch AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and flip it over and you’ll see another 4.7-inch always-on ePaper display with a 960 x 540 pixel resolution.
You can customize the back ePaper display with a wallpaper, or use it to read eBooks, view notifications and other task that may not require a color display.
Other noteworthy features of the Yotaphone 2 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of RAM, an 8-Megapixel camera on the rear with auto focus and LED Flash, and an 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.
There are also connectivity functions such as 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and 4G LTE. The company plans to start shipping the device before the end of this month, you can sign up to receive more information when it’s available at the Yotaphone website.
