Zotac ZBOX EN860 Small Gaming PC Launched

Zotac has added another gaming PC to its E-series line of small desktop computers which were specially developed for gamers. The ZBOX EN860 follows the ZBOX EN760 which was released last year and features an Intel Core i5 Haswell processor with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card.

Zotac is now launching the new ZBOX EN860 which comes equipped with the same Intel Core i5 Haswell processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M graphics card as its predecessor, however it does have a few new features as well.

The new ZBOX EN860 features a 1.7GHz Core i5-4210U processor, which a bit more faster than the Core i5-4200U CPU which came in the previous model. The unit also offers DisplayPort support, which last year’s model did not support and those are the only difference from the previous model. Zotac also removed the mSATA 3.0 Gbps slot that was available on the older model.

Other specifications includes WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with laptop-class chips, 16GB of RAM, 2.5-inch SATA 6.0 Gbps bay drive and an HDMI output. Judging from the specifications, it’s safe to assume the device is not intended for high-end gaming.

Zotac will retail the ZBOX EN860 as a barebones system, which means you’ll have to supply storage, memory and an operating system. If that’s too much for you, Zotac will also launch a Plus model that comes with 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, but you will still have to install your own operating system.
